meet the artists
meet the curator
Without Marie, there would be no MoSA. A long-time spokeswoman and advocate for the 5 Pointz collective, she selected the artists and curated the art for the project. Her passion for the culture is infectious and her dedication relentless.
French by birth and a graduate of La Sorbonne, teen-aged Marie fell in love with New York City on her first visit. She returned as a professional to a career in event planning for the prestigious Incentive House, becoming a partner in 2013. She debuted as a curator in February 2014 with the ‘Whitewash Show’. In 2015, she was granted the Art and Activism award by the Gold Coast Art Center. As an activist and advocate for public art, she joined the board of New York City Housing Development Corporation.
Museum of Street Art is open
What is MoSA? A new incarnation of the 5 Pointz street art landmark, erased from New York’s urban landscape in 2014.
This new incarnation is not an imitation of the original – it’s a revival of the art of graffiti by the same group of 20 artists who made the original 5 Pointz site into one of New York’s most unusual attractions.
You’ve seen their faces, now see their artistry and passion for graffiti right here on the Bowery, inside the citizenM hotel. The Museum of Street Art is now open, revealing surprises at every turn of the stairs as you walk from the cloudM bar on the 21st floor down to the street level exit.
MoSA is open for bookings.
